Read Your Own Books in TortoLingua

TortoLingua lets you import a file you are authorized to use and read it in a private workspace. Supported formats are TXT, EPUB, and MOBI only. Each file can be up to 10 MB, and each user can keep up to 10 imported books.

Inside the reader you can check contextual translations, save vocabulary, and return to your last reading position. Translation is support, not a guarantee of perfect or instant interpretation.

Privacy and storage, without vague promises

Imported books are private to your account, and TortoLingua does not provide a book-sharing feature. The original uploaded file is not retained, but a parsed representation of its content is stored so the reader, vocabulary, and resume features can work. That means it would be inaccurate to say that nothing is stored.

What this reader does not support

• PDF is not supported.
• DRM-protected or encrypted books cannot be imported, and TortoLingua does not provide bypass instructions.
• Imported books do not have an offline reading or offline translation mode.
• TortoLingua does not generate audio or narration for imported books.
• It is not an unlimited library or a source of commercial ebooks.
